CHEMO DUCK GOES COUNTRY FUNDRAISER AT BERGER

This past Tuesday night, our Berger Event Facility hosted the "Chemo Duck Goes Country" fundraiser. GMP producer Brandon Thomas help produce the event in conjunction with GMP client Brian Mayes. Here are excerpts from Brandon's review of the evening...

Last Tuesday night I helped produce a benefit for Lu Sipos's organization called "Gabe's My Heart". The event was called "Chemo Duck Goes Country" and it was a huge success. Gabe Sipos (8 yrs old and a cancer survivor) was the inspiration for this organization. He is in a movie coming out in January with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw called "Country Strong". Red Carpet pictures with Gwyneth and Gabe taken this week in Nashville at the preview for the movie have now circulated all around the globe.

Celebrities gathered to raise money for Lu's organization and champion the fight against pediatric cancer. One of the best parts of the evening was getting to spend some time talking with Colin Raye. He is a pretty amazing guy. Very strong believer and encourager. I've always loved Colin but my love for his music was re-fueled Tuesday night. Incredible voice and gift...still!

Lu and Rob Sipos have quite a fire cracker on their hands. Gabe is Mr. Charm and worked the crowd like a pro. He is a great kid and a worthy opponent at thumb war. I didn't even let him win. :) I loved getting to know Gabe, Rob and Lu. They are one very special family. Kudos to everyone for a wonderful night...especially Brian Mayes.

CMA Fest Underway!

CMA FEST Underway!

Our scenic crew started early this morning with the load in for a CMA FEST booth for Nashville's Big Machine Records. This is the third year we've created a booth for BMR which represents major artists like country superstar REBA McENTIRE and the recording industry's top phenom TAYLOR SWIFT. The booth was designed by Keith Brogdon in our graphics department and built by our scenic team lead by tech director Eric Cardwell. Operations Manager Chris Lyle and our ace scenic crew assembled on site. The project is coordinated by GMP producer BRANDON THOMAS for our clients Justin and Kelly from BMR. We'll post some more pics of the artists in the booth over the next few days...never know who you might see! Thanks to BMR for allowing us to be involved again this year.


CMA FEST is country music's largest celebration for the fans, with a week of fabulous concerts, autograph sessions, artist parties, and live music by the biggest stars in country music. This year is especially important to our home town as Nashville rebuilds from the devastating floods of last month. Downtown Nashville has made an amazing recovery thanks to the unequaled volunteer spirit of our Music City citizens. Come see us this week...its a BIG party!
