GMC HEADS TO ORLANDO FOR NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS CONFERENCE AND VIDEO SHOOT

Jonathan Yeaworth, Jim Sheridan, Jacob Driver and the rest of our production team just returned from Orlando yesterday after working 3 days at the Omni Orlando Championsgate Resort. Our client, the National Association of Electrical Distributors, held one of their regional conferences there. We produced their general session, which included an incredibly frightening presentation by Frank Abagnale, Jr., one of the world's leading authorities on fraud, identity theft, white collar crime, and embezzlement. And he should know about those issues - his life was the subject of the hit movie "Catch Me if You Can" a couple of years ago. The one-time criminal genius has now turned his skills to more positive pursuits on behalf of the FBI and the worldwide banking industry. Mr. Abagnale's presentation for us focused on the alarming amount of fraud committed in this country every year, and how easy it is to get all the information needed to steal another person's identity- and life. His comments made a huge impact on the attendees! After the session, Jonathan and I spent the afternoon video taping public service spots featuring Mr. Abagnale and two other presenters from the electrical industry.

As we were leaving, I shot this photo of the pool area at the Omni from my hotel room - which is about as close as any of us got to the pool all week. Ahh, the life of corporate event producers...just one party after another...NOT!

We shot 3 public service announcements featuring Mr. Abagnale talking about the growing problem of counterfeit electrical products and the danger they represent to consumers.

Here's Jonathan adjusting lighting for the video shoot. Last week was Jonathan's birthday...
and he STILL looks younger than all the rest of us!

These are scenes from the NAED general session.

A WALK ON THE WILDSIDE

One of the great things about living in Nashville is its location in the beautiful rolling hills of middle Tennessee. And one of Nashville's best kept secrets is Radnor Lake State Park. I live within walking distance of this most amazing wildlife sanctuary. Deer, geese, turtles, birds, raccoons, owls, and a menagerie of wild animals inhabit this park nestled in the the Forest Hills area just south of Nashville. A walking path encircles the lake, and its the perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon walk. Here are some shots I took a couple of hours ago during a chilly stroll around the lake. It really makes me eager for spring!

MORE SUMMIT SHOTS

Our Celebrity SUMMIT cast did another run through for us yesterday. They did a great job! We loved their energy and focus, and the performance level was even better than the run we saw last week! They have one more week in Nashville, then they're off to the ship. We're looking forward to seeing it all come together in this last week of run-throughs. If you're friends with any of the cast members, please check with them on final rehearsal times - we'd love to have you come cheer them on next week. Way to go Summit cast!

SUMMIT CAST IN REHEARSAL

The Celebrity SUMMIT cast is in their third week of rehearsals at our studios in Nashville. This is a cast with a lot of great veteran performers - as well as exciting new cast members - who are signed on for a 6-month engagement aboard the SUMMIT. We had a chance to watch them in a run through of one of their shows last Friday. They did a super job, and it was terrific to see how they blended as a group. Erin Davis and Jeff Lisenby have been working with them on choreography and vocals, and they are just about ready to head out to the ship for the changeover to the new cast. They're doing more runs this weekend, so we'll have more pictures to share. Enjoy this great looking group!
