CELEBRITY INFINITY - "CELEBRATE THE WORLD"

This weekend saw the departure of the CONSTELLATION cast from rehearsals in Nashville. They headed out to the ship yesterday and all seem to have arrived safely. Meanwhile, the INFINITY cast completed work on "Celebrate the World" and ran it for us today. They have done an amazing job. The singers have really stepped up to the plate and embraced the many styles called for in this show, and the dancers are already working as a tight unit. I was very impressed! Claire and Brandon have done a great job of getting this cast prepared for a terrific contract. Here are some photos taken during the run this afternoon.
We are busy preparing for several major projects this week. We have shows for TJ Martell, Permobil, Junior Achievement and the US Business Hall of Fame, Turner Universal Construction, and a couple of smaller shows within the next 10 days. Also, we are starting construction on sets for "l'Ete du vin's" PREMIERE AUCTION coming up in a couple of weeks. That project features a street scene set reminiscent of Napa Valley's St. Helena. We are also completing work on more scenery for the Norwegian JADE, and starting to plan for auditions for the next cast of the Norwegian JADE. Several of our team members are heading to the ship in the Mediterranean next week to scope out the new shows. We are really excited about taking over the management of the JADE!

Go out and make yourself a great week!

"INFINITELY TALENTED"

One of the casts in rehearsal right now is that of Celebrity's GTS INFINITY. The shows on the Infinity have always been some of the highest rated in the fleet, and this cast certainly seems destined to carry on that tradition (the current cast on the Infinity is AWESOME,  by the way!) We love the fact that the INFINITY cast represents a broad cross section of brand new performers new to us, along with several veteran cast members returning for another contract. Here are some shots from the Broadway show rehearsal earlier this week. I will post more shots over the weekend!

BON VOYAGE TO THE CONSTELLATION CAST

One of my favorite things we do here at The Gary Musick Company is the tradition of  farewell dinners for our cruise ship casts. Just before each cast leaves for their 6-month world adventure, we take them to dinner where they can celebrate their amazing accomplishments during rehearsals. Last night, we took the new cast of the Celebrity CONSTELLATION to dinner at Darfon's. After a great meal and some fun fellowship, we took the official "cast photos" that will forever hang in the foyer of our rehearsal studios. We wish all of our new friends on the Constellation the very best for a fantastic contract. They will be heading to the Baltic for a summer of amazing experiences that will become lifetime memories for each of the 16 members of the cast. This is our most internationally diverse cast ever, and one of the most fun to watch! Have a great time!!

OK, so I think of myself as being a little old to be hanging out backstage at rock concerts. Well, maybe not! This past Saturday, I not only got to go backstage, but I got to stand just offstage for an entire concert by "American Bang", my future son-in-law's band. They were playing in Nashville at the world famous "Exit Inn". The band has been touring heavily for the past year opening for several major acts like Lynard Synard. Last week, they created a major buzz when they played 8 shows at "South-by-Southwest", one of the country's most important music festivals for new bands. They are now headlining their own shows, and will have a record out on Warner Brothers this summer. The band has already had some amazing commercial success as the featured band on a Verizon wireless ad campaign and as the music for ABC's fall show promos last fall. They are terrific, and have tremendous potential for bringing rock back to radio! The energy onstage Saturday night was great and a new experience for me. Thanks to Ben Brown and the other guys in the band for allowing me to hang out. Does that make me a groupie?

Have a great week everyone!

FANG FEVER!

Today I took two of my daughters and their friend to a Nashville Predators hockey game. They were playing the Chicago Blackhawks. The Predators are one of our clients, so we have tickets to all the games. This was the first time I had been able to go this year, though. You might remember the photos I posted from the Predators Ball back in February.

Hockey games are a blast! There is constant entertainment for 3 solid hours. We won the game in overtime, which made it even more exciting. I was really happy to see (and hear) my friend Andy Childs and SIXWIRE performing at the game. They sang the National Anthem a capella before the game, and then entertained during breaks between periods. They sounded fantastic, as always. SIXWIRE was runner up in the Fox series "The Next Great American Band" this past season.

Hope everyone has a renewing Easter! Blessings to you all.

We are working on several major shows coming up in the next 2 months, and all of them are going to be very cool in their own way. One of them I'm especially exited about is a show we're producing with Kenny Loggins for General Electric in San Francisco. We've produced his show in the past, and I have to say he is one of my favorite live pop acts. He has so many hits and is a great entertainer. This is the poster we've put together to help GE promote the show to their guests. This is a private show for some of GE's top distributor customers in the commercial and industrial markets. It should be a fantastic evening!

Today we got to watch a run through of "Rhythm of the Night" by the Constellation cast. What a great cast! They did a fantastic show, and the energy was non-stop through the whole performance. This is a tough show, and they definitely rose to the occasion. Congratulations to Constellation cast for making some magic today! Here are pictures from the run-through. I am having trouble uploading all the images, so I will add more tomorrow. Check again tomorrow and I will do my best to have a lot more shots for the CS cast to download.
