GMC HEADS TO ORLANDO FOR NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS CONFERENCE AND VIDEO SHOOT

Jonathan Yeaworth, Jim Sheridan, Jacob Driver and the rest of our production team just returned from Orlando yesterday after working 3 days at the Omni Orlando Championsgate Resort. Our client, the National Association of Electrical Distributors, held one of their regional conferences there. We produced their general session, which included an incredibly frightening presentation by Frank Abagnale, Jr., one of the world's leading authorities on fraud, identity theft, white collar crime, and embezzlement. And he should know about those issues - his life was the subject of the hit movie "Catch Me if You Can" a couple of years ago. The one-time criminal genius has now turned his skills to more positive pursuits on behalf of the FBI and the worldwide banking industry. Mr. Abagnale's presentation for us focused on the alarming amount of fraud committed in this country every year, and how easy it is to get all the information needed to steal another person's identity- and life. His comments made a huge impact on the attendees! After the session, Jonathan and I spent the afternoon video taping public service spots featuring Mr. Abagnale and two other presenters from the electrical industry.

As we were leaving, I shot this photo of the pool area at the Omni from my hotel room - which is about as close as any of us got to the pool all week. Ahh, the life of corporate event producers...just one party after another...NOT!

We shot 3 public service announcements featuring Mr. Abagnale talking about the growing problem of counterfeit electrical products and the danger they represent to consumers.

Here's Jonathan adjusting lighting for the video shoot. Last week was Jonathan's birthday...
and he STILL looks younger than all the rest of us!

These are scenes from the NAED general session.
