I'm finally home after being on the road for two weeks doing shows in Canada and Dallas. Jonathan Yeaworth and I arrived in Nashville early yesterday morning and immediately drove to Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center where we produced the American Heart Association's "2008 Heart Gala". This is an annual fundraising event for the American Heart Association's research foundation. There were over 680 attendees for this black tie dinner, auction, and dance. We assisted event chairperson Wendy Holcomb Burch and logisitcs chair Holly Whaley with the design, production, and implementation of the event. GMC staff producer Bert Hensley spearheaded the planning of the event during my absence these last two weeks. He was assisted by new GMC Associate Producer Brandon Thomas. They did a great job of coordinating all the elements needed pull of such a large and complex event. A special thanks goes to GMC operations manager Chris Lyle for handling the set up, and Jonathan Yeaworth for coordinating the audiovisual portion of the show. We took these shots just prior to and during the event. It was truly beautiful setting, and the AHA successfully raised a significant amount of money to support the work of the association. Congrats to the AHA on a fantastic evening!

This is a shot of Mark, Holly and Trevor Whaley (Mark and Holly's son). Holly's father, Christian record producer Billy Ray Hearn, was the Honorary Chair of the event. We work with Holly on a number of fundraising events each year.
